Spain has won the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time during the final match on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
Substitute Ferran Torres scored the decisive volley in the 106th minute of extra time following a header assist from Nico Williams.
This victory marks Spain’s second men’s World Cup title, 16 years after their first win in South Africa in 2010.
Spain also became the first team to win a World Cup while conceding only one goal across the entire tournament.
Spain is now the first nation to simultaneously hold both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup titles.
The win extended Spain’s unbeaten run to an all-time international record of 38 matches.
