A delegation of the National Assembly on Wednesday, 7th October, 2026 paid a condolence visit to Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, over the death of his daughter, Amina Abubakar Umara Zulum.
The lawmakers visited the governor at his residence in Giwa Barracks, Maiduguri, where they conveyed the condolences of the National Assembly and expressed solidarity with the governor and his family at the difficult moment.
The delegation was received by Governor Zulum, who thanked the lawmakers for their visit and the expression of sympathy following the death of his daughter.
Amina, the governor’s daughter, died recently, prompting an outpouring of condolences from political leaders, public officials, friends and associates across Borno State and beyond.
The lawmakers prayed for the repose of the deceased and for Allah to grant Governor Zulum, his family and loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
