Members of the National Media Team(NMT) of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) were on Wednesday, 29th May, 2024 at the office of the Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Media Regulation (GMedia) in Jeddah on a familiarisation visit.
Led by Muhammad Ahmad Musa Musa, NAHCON’s Principal Information and Public Relations Officer, Media Operations in Makkah, the Nigerian journalists were received by the Director of GMedia, Hamzah Al-Ghobaishi, accompanied by some officials of the agency.
He wished the delegation an acceptable Hajj in advance and asked them to feel free to ask any question.
He said (GMedia) is the sole regulatory body for radio, TV, print, social media, video games and other media contents.
For journalists covering Hajj, he said there are guidelines and guiding principles with regards to the coverage and adherence to those ethics as expected from all media professionals.
