Nigeria’s premier wholly Islamic Bank, Jaiz Bank Plc on Wednesday at Hajj House, Abuja, commissioned a branch inside the headquarters of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The commissioning was attended by key officials of NAHCON lead by its Chairman/CEO, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan and those of Jaiz Bank led by Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, Chairman of the bank.
The branch is aimed at facilitating the Hajj Saving Scheme, an initiative of the current NAHCON’s leadership aimed at creating an avenue for intending Nigerian Muslim pilgrims to save towards fulfilling one of the pillars of Islam; going on Hajj (pilgrimage to the holy lands of Makkah and Madina).
The scheme provides for intending pilgrims to go for Hajj from Nigeria, irrespective of their income, locality and status and Jaiz Bank is the main collaborator of NAHCON in powering the scheme.
