Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, on Wednesday (March 11, 2026), led a high-level university delegation to the NNPC Towers in Abuja for a strategic courtesy visit to the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari.
The landmark meeting focused on two transformative goals:
1️⃣ Establishing West Africa’s first Centre of Excellence dedicated to practical engineering and technology-driven research.
2️⃣ Endowing an NNPC Professorial Chair to promote industry-leading expertise.
Moving forward, a joint committee has been established to refine the details and report back within four weeks.
