NO TO ISRAELI GENOCIDAL WAR AGAINST PALESTINIANS
The Ummah Movement, with headquarters at the National Islamic Centre, Dogarawa, Zaria, Nigeria joins millions of the world’s citizens in lamenting the latest explosion of violence between the oppressed Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the military occupier Israeli state.
It pains us that Israel and its extremist Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu deliberately baited and provoked the over two million oppressed Palestinians, said to be in the worst open air “Gaza Strip” prison in the world – by arbitrary denial of Muslims and Christians access to their holy sites in Jerusalem, targeted assassinations, indiscriminate murderous missile strikes and kidnappings, as well as the most intrusive and humiliating surveillance in the world.
Gaza was Israeli industrial military complex “laboratory” for testing its weapons and tactics, so it can export its “expertise” in fighting “terrorism”. The result was the retaliatory attack last Saturday by some of the militant members from the oppressed Palestinians.
The morally bankrupt and dictatorial right wing Israeli government created an excuse to achieve its personal and domestic agenda as well as Israeli hegemony. We are truly saddened by the loss of civilian lives in this eruption. We are even more outraged by the disproportionate Israeli state response, which has unleashed its lethal military in a genocidal wave of airstrikes that has taken thousands of lives of Muslim and Christian Palestinians in Gaza. Soon a full military invasion with tanks and artillery will attempt to “flatten” and wipe Gaza off the map.
Having already cut off food, water, electricity and locked all exits, the cynical Israeli military has told the helpless citizens of Gaza to “flee”. To where, if not straight into its flame throwers, bullets and missiles? We condemn this genocide in the strongest terms and urge the world to call Israel to order for its crimes against humanity. And yet, what greater crime than the apparent intent of Netanyahu to plunge the world into a Third World War!
In particular we call on the United States of America in particular and the European
Union to stop their total and blind support for Israeli military occupation of Palestine and to call Israel to halt its ongoing military action. The international Community is called upon to exert pressure on the US and EU to enforce existing UN resolutions that hold Israel and its allies responsible for all the war crimes against humanity perpetrated by Israel. Israel has used its over $3billion annual aid from USA to oppress and kill Palestinians and the world records this fact.
We call on all Muslim nations and all nations with conscience globally to immediately impose a total trade and diplomatic boycott of Israel, expel its diplomats and companies until it unconditionally scraps its apartheid system, withdraws to pre-1967 borders and withdraws all settler villages created on confiscated Palestinian lands. We call on Muslims to channel their anger into prayers for the souls of the innocent lives taken by Israel and for the Wrath of Allah to descend on all nations that arm and fund the murderous Israeli state and its leaders. We pray to Allah and we urge our fellow compatriots to also pray, for return of Palestine to its rightful owners, so that all Muslims and Christians in Palestine can have freedom to access their places of worship and to live in peace and freedom without Zionist armed harassment.
