Supporters of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for many minutes drowned his voice as he was called to address delegates at the National Convention of All Progressives Congress (APC).
As he was called to the podium by 12.00 am in the early hours of Wednesday, a crowd chanted ” You don win, you are our choice, we love you.”
After persuading the crowd to silence with ” great Nigerian students,” Osinbajo said Nigeria has the means and potential to be one the greatest nations on earth.
“Everything we can imagine or dream is within our reach,” he said, adding that all that was needed was for delegates to vote right at the convention.
”When you vote tonight, note that your vote carries your prayers for the future of our nation and children,” he said, stressing that his seven years as vice president under President Muhammadu Buhari have prepared him for the task of being the next president.
