I think the governorship candidates who picked Tonto Dikeh and Funke Akindele as running mates deserve some commendation.

I’m not persuaded they’ve strengthened the tickets on which they’re, notably because they didn’t have bold political footprints, if any, prior to know.

What those candidates have done to delight me is giving a middle finger to those who sneer at entertainers, who are often as well educated and as exposed as those in occupations we think categorize as serious. It takes acumen and grit to be successful in their trade. It’s not a children’s playground as many seem to think.

Rotimi Makinde, Desmond Elliot, to mention just two, had been in the federal and state legislatures respectively. Banky W hopes to be a legislator, too.  Not sure Makinde and Elliot are inferior to their colleagues. Don’t think Banky W will be-if he wins.

There’s a need to look at these chaps as professionals. We still seem to view them as jesters.
