The NNPC Engineering and Technical Company Ltd. (NETCO), the engineering arm of NNPC Ltd., has been inducted into the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Executive Council.
NETCO Managing Director, Engr. Salahudeen Tahir, led a delegation from the company and PMI to present the certificate of induction to the Executive Vice President, Upstream, NNPC Ltd., Mr. Udy Ntia, in Abuja.
The induction makes NETCO a member of the PMI Global Executive Council, an exclusive membership-based leadership forum for leading organisations and government institutions.
Through the membership, NETCO is expected to gain access to global project management networks, strategic partnerships and knowledge-sharing opportunities aimed at strengthening its project leadership capabilities.
The company is also expected to leverage the platform to enhance project governance, benchmark its practices against international standards and support the development of large-scale internal project management capacity.
The development further positions NETCO to deepen its adoption of global project management practices and contribute to the digital transformation of engineering and technical operations within Nigeria’s energy sector.
