Chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Rt.Hon.( Dr.) Yusuf Buba, has assured the people of his constituency of more support.

He spoke during a courtesy visit in Abuja by the leaders of Hoba Development Association, Abuja Chapter.

The statement was made available on Thursday by Nkem Anyata-Lafia, his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs. Buba, who represents Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency of Adamawa State in the House of Representatives, conveyed his gratitude to the leaders of Hoba people across the globe.

He also expressed happiness over a Bill for the Establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Hong which he said had just received the concurrence of the Nigerian Senate and was on its way to receiving presidential assent to become an Act of Parliament.

He noted that without the support of the Hoba people, the dream of a Federal Medical Centre in Hong would have been a mere mirage.
He said it was, indeed, a happy day for the people of his constituency.

The lawmaker thanked the leaders for their visit and support, informing that he would not in any way take their kind efforts to identify with him for granted.

Earlier speaking, President of the association, Barrister Alheri B. Nyako, said the delegation of was in a mission to engage with representatives and key stakeholders of the Hoba people in public offices in Abuja.
While also informing that the delegation was elected into office only last year, Nyako said it was still apt to congratulate the lawmaker on his election and performance since he assumed office in 2015.

He stressed that such performance, including his open-door policy of receiving everyone without the barriers of officialdom, could only be the reasons he broke records and became the first Federal lawmaker to enjoy re- election in Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency. 

Among those who accompanied Nyako on the visit were the Vice President of the Association, Bitrus Usumana; the Assistant Welfare Officer, Dr.( Mrs) Nancy Ayuba Gwani and Adamu Ahmed Modi, the Assistant Public Relations Officer of the group. 

Others include Wabundani Edward, Editor-in-chief of the association’s magazine as well as Philemon Nuhu, who is the spokesperson of the association.
