Kano lecturer given severe beating over alleged  sexual  harassment of married female student

Dr. Nasa’i Muhammad Gwadabe, a lecturer at Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) and Northwest University Kano, has been accused of sexually harassing a married postgraduate student and blocking her project for two years until she agreed to an affair.

The student’s husband said the lecturer wrote “I just like you” on her project papers and insisted they meet off-campus. After she refused his advances, her husband took over her WhatsApp to lure him into a trap.

The meeting was set at Bayero University Kano (BUK). While the wife drove, her husband hid in the backseat. A recorded call caught Dr. Gwadabe directing her past security to the ASUU secretariat. When he reached into the car and felt the husband, he tried to flee but was restrained.

The wife’s screams of “home wrecker!” drew campus security and bystanders who beat the lecturer severely. Videos showing him in a blue Adidas shirt circulated widely. The university has since replaced him as project supervisor.

The family says the wife now receives life-threatening calls and has filed a police report. Neither MAAUN, Northwest University, nor BUK has issued a statement. Dr. Gwadabe has not publicly responded to the allegations.

Nigerians online are condemning “sex for marks,” especially targeting a married woman. Many demand a full probe to rid academia of predatory supervision, while noting the account is still one-sided pending official findings. Watch the video in the comment section.
