The first in the series of essay and quiz competition organised by Sentosa Conservative Club (SCC) Abuja has been scheduled to hold on June 16, 2022.
The competition organise to commemorate the annual International Day of The African Child according to the chief executive officer, Sentosa Conservative Club, Dr. Bamidele Amos Babade, is aim at celebrating the children, make them happy to ensure that they are not neglected irrespective of their background.
“The day of the African Child is a day set up by the United Nations to give attention to the knowledge base of an African Child. It is also a way of preparing welfare package for the African children and if there is anything that affects them, it should be brought to the fore and this has been the practice of Sentosa Conservative Club which is to identify things that African Child are being deprived of.
“There should be no room for child abuse, harmful practices against the children and child trafficking which are the bane of the African Child. We are organising the competition to identify with the children, to make them happy and to let them know that they are not neglected irrespective of their background,” Dr Babade said.
