The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the three Senatorial seats in Ogun State.
A former governor of the State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel in Ogun West, while Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, the immediate past Chief of Staff to the Ogun State Governor won in Ogun Central. Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola was elected in Ogun East.
Daniel secured 115,147 votes to defeat other candidates in the contest for National Assembly seat.
The official results were announced by the Returning Officer, Prof. Christopher Onwuka, at the Ogun East Senatorial Collation Centre in Itoro Hall, Ijebu-Ode.
Daniel cleared all the nine local government areas in the senatorial district, including Ijebu North, Odogbolu, Remo North, Sagamu, Ijebu North East, Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu East, Ikenne and Ogun Waterside.
Salisu on his part emerged senator-elect of Ogun Central Senatorial district in Ogun state with 96,759 votes.
He won with a margin of 44319 votes as he had a total of 96,759 votes, as against the candidate with the second maximum votes, Olumide Aderinokun of PDP, who had 52,440 votes.
In the same vein, Adeola, who is currently representing Lagos West Senatorial District, won the Ogun West Senatorial election by a total vote of 112,887, while his closest rival, the PDP candidate, Ganiyu Dada Obanibasiri, scored 60,189. The Labour Party candidate came third with a total vote of 19, 244.
