Chairman, Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA), Olanrewaju Suraju has been awarded scholarship to pursue a course at Oxford University, United Kingdom on Oil, Gas and Mining Governance.
An exciting Suraju broke the news in a post on Facebook on Sunday.
According to him, “Super excited to be selected with scholarship for the 2022 Executive Course on Oil, Gas, and Mining Governance, taking place next month at the Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government.
“This was made possible with the generous support of £8,000 from the Natural Resource Governance Institute covering the tuition from world-renowned experts university accommodation and most meals.
“It was worth the investment covering visa, flights to the United Kingdom, ground transportation to/from the airport, or incidentals in Oxford.
“My experience, knowledge and contact will be deployed towards improved monitoring of generation, utilization and reporting on the latest $500b projected income from oil and gas by the Nigerian Government with the latest PSC signed with IOCs for 5 oil blocks. Time we allow our past to guide our future, and lessons learnt our assets to improve our situation and that of our future.”
