REMINDER TO BROTHER GOODLUCK JONATHAN
Dear Brother Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria.
Please cast your mind back to the events of 2014 till 2015 Presidential election when the opposition candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari defeated you.
You’ll certainly remember that there was grand conspiracy to disgrace you out of office but for the tact you applied to concede defeat by initiating a call to then opposition APC flag bearer, now the President of Nigeria.
It is said that once beaten, twice shy. The storm have gathered again just as it was during the aforementioned time. Many groups and associations were at the Presidential Villa under guise of supporting you just as many conferred on you their emergency grand patron just for the sake of collecting money from you under pretences of going to campaign and mobilize voters for you.
Bro Joe, you ought to remember that they never did but rather used your funds to campaign and mobilize for the opposition. Even some of your cabinet members and some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains did same. You only realized this when it was too late. Thus, you were betrayed by those who sang your praises to roof tops, whom you trusted to ought have protected your interest.
History is about to repeat itself. But God forbid! Only if you’re awake to reject the Greek gift being dangled at you.
Reject that Expression of Interest Form bought for you by that nascent Group. Stave off any pressure to drag you into contesting just for the hidden purpose of sowing seeds of discord in your constituency and disgrace you a second time.
If you decide to stake your integrity and reputation enhanced over the past seven years, you’ll go down in the history as first former President of Nigeria who never learned from his experiences, first incumbent President of Nigeria to be defeated, and first former President of Nigeria who re-contested but lost.
This is food for Thought.
