The Governor, who is seeking election to represent Ogun East Senatorial District in 2027, joined other party leaders and religious figures in urging continued prayers for peace, stability and development in Ogun State and Nigeria.
Other speakers at the event also called on APC members to remain united and committed to the party while maintaining peaceful engagement with political opponents and other stakeholders.
Yayi Predicts APC Victory
Adeola, who is the APC’s governorship candidate in Ogun State, expressed confidence in the party’s prospects at the federal and state levels, saying the party had entrusted its 2027 political journey to God.
The senator predicted victory for all APC candidates in Ogun State and at the federal level in the 2027 elections.
Adeola also made comments about the opposition, describing it as “partyless” and “running helter-skelter” to address its shortcomings, while expressing confidence that APC would emerge victorious.
His remarks came against the backdrop of increasing political activity in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 elections.
Osoba, Sanusi, Mustapha Attend
Among dignitaries at the event were former Governor Olusegun Osoba, Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, Director-General of the Ogun APC Campaign Council, Senator Lekan Mustapha, and other party leaders.
Christian and Muslim clerics also participated in the programme, offering prayers for the nation, the state and the APC candidates.
The inter-faith character of the event underscored the importance of religious harmony in Ogun State, with the organisers bringing together adherents of the two major faiths for a common programme of prayers and thanksgiving.
The organisers also urged religious and community leaders to continue promoting peaceful coexistence, responsible citizenship and tolerance as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
They appealed to APC members and supporters to conduct their political activities peacefully and respect the democratic process, while encouraging citizens to participate actively in the forthcoming elections.
The prayer and praise programme forms part of the APC’s broader mobilisation and campaign preparations ahead of the 2027 governorship, senatorial, National Assembly and state House of Assembly elections in Ogun State.
