Yusuf Ali, Oloyede, others set to inaugurate Ifetedo Central Mosque

ALL is set for the inauguration of the multimillion remodeled Ifetedo Central Mosque on Friday, 13th December 2024, at the headquarters of Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.

The chief host of the event, which will be attended by eminent scholars, Islamic leaders from different parts of the country, is the renowned philanthropist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Professor Yusuf Ali.

The chairman of the organising committee of the programme, Professor Rashidi Aderinoye, stated in a statement issued in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Wednesday, said the programme will begin at 10 am at the premises of the ultra-modern edifice. ,

The mosque, built between 1960 and 1966, was remodeled by Professor Ali, who is the Kulyan Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate and an indigene of Ifetedo.

According to the statement, the chairman of the occasion is the President of the Muslim Ummah of the South West Nigeria ( MUSWEN) and deputy president of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo.

The statement added that the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Dawud Akinola is expected to be the special guest of honour.

It stated that the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yoruba land, Chief Khamis Tunde Badmos will be the guest of honour, while  an eminent scholar, Sheikh Abdurahaman Adangba is the guest speaker.

The host of the historic event is the Olubosin of Ifetedo, Oba Akinola Akinrera, Latiri 1.

The list of other distinguished guests expected at the occasion include the secretary general NSCIA and Registrar of the joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, who is the; Kuliyan Sokoto and Chairman the Board of Trustees (BoT) MUSWEN,, Dr Wale Babalakin, , Chairman Ibadan  Muslim Community, Chief Bayo Oyewo,  among others.

The statement explained that the spiritual host of the occasion is the Chief Imam of Ifetedo, Alhaji Abdur Javar Akindunni.
