Chief Jamiu Ekungba, the Ekun Agbara of Owo Kingdom in Ondo state, has given reasons why he is campaigning for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Coordinator of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Ambassadors spoke in an interview  at the sideline of a sensitisation program held at the Adeyemi University of Education , Ondo, Ondo State.

He said Asiwaju Tinubu’s political pedigree and track record as governor of Lagos State recommends him for the post of president as he towers above other candidates currently jostling for the position.

Chief Ekungba, a retired top banker said his group was presently mobilising support in 12 states for Asiwaju Tinubu and intends to spread the campaign further in the days ahead.

Ekungba added that the group is rooting for Tinubu’s presidency because they see in Tinubu, practical and demonstrable evidence of performance, which if allowed to be replicated at the national level, will in the shortest possible time propel Nigeria to greater heights.

“We need a man with the courage to pilot the  ship of Nigeria, and in the current dispensation, we see in Tinubu the demonstrable evidence of that type of person.
” Asiwaju coming out is not about APC nor being a Muslim or Christian, but it’s about the future of our children,”
“Having given the North opportunity to do it for eight years , it is not morally right to allow another Northern to be president and Atiku is a fulani while Kwankwaso is an Hausa man ,” he stressed.
