The people of Dawaki Community, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, are raising alarm over the non-execution of a ₦100 million federally budgeted project for the rehabilitation of Panaf Drive.
A project signboard in Dawaki lists:
Sponsor: Senator Ireti Heebah Kingibe
Client: Federal Cooperative College, Oji River, Enugu State
Contractor: White-Ligne Engineering Limited
Yet, despite these claims, Panaf Drive remains in terrible condition, particularly the stretch from News Engineering Junction to Dutse Alhaji Sokale Roundabout.
🚧 The Reality on Ground:
No substantial rehabilitation has been carried out.
₦100 million appears to have been mismanaged or diverted.
Dawaki residents continue to suffer daily traffic gridlocks and hardship.
We are calling on:
1. Senator Ireti Kingibe to explain to the public what happened to the alledged ₦100 million project under her sponsorship.
2. FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, to intervene immediately and ensure:
An investigation into the missing project.
Urgent rehabilitation of Panaf Drive, which will drastically ease traffic on Dutse Alhaji Road.
Conclusion
Dawaki residents deserve better. This is not just about accountability, it is a cry for help. We demand urgent government attention to fix Panaf Drive and deliver the project as captured in the national budget.
Signed:
Concerned Residents of Dawaki
Bwari Area Council, FCT
