U.S. warplanes crash  during intense Iranian missile attacks

Several U.S. warplanes reportedly crashed in Kuwait during an intense period of Iranian missile attacks targeting the region.

One of them, an F-15E Strike Eagle was confirmed to have crashed about six miles from the Ali Al Salem Air Base. Kuwait’s Defense Ministry on Monday reported that “several” American aircraft went down during the morning.

All pilots involved reportedly ejected safely and are in stable condition. One pilot was assisted by locals after landing. The status of a second crew member (Weapons Systems Operator) from the F-15 remains unconfirmed.

Debris from the F-15 fell near the Mina Al Ahmadi refinery, causing injuries to two workers.

The exact cause is currently under investigation by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense. While Iran has claimed to have shot down the aircraft, early field reports suggest possible mechanical failure or “friendly fire” from regional Patriot air defense systems.

The crashes occurred on the third day of an escalating war between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. The conflict intensified following a joint U.S.-Israeli strike that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on March 1.

In response, Iran has launched retaliatory strikes across the Gulf, including attacks on targets in Kuwait, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.
