The Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has sent a condolence message to the President of Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, on the death of Professor AbdulGaniyu Raji.
The Sultan, who is Chancellor of the University of Ibadan also commiserated with management of the premier university, where the deceased was a lecturer.
His condolence message was contained in a statement by his media team dated Sunday December 21, 2025 and circulated to the media.
The Sultan described Professor Raji as a devout Muslim who served the Ummah with diligence and whose immense contributions will be deeply missed.
He prayed that Allah accept the soul of his servant, forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Al-Jannah Firdaos.
