Seun Kuti, son of the late Afrobeat musician, Fela Kuti has finally reported himself to the police.

The Lagos based musician was seen in the office of Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa on Monday morning.
The Inspector General of Police had ordered his arrest following a trending video in which he assaulted a police officer.
He was however nowhere to be found when police operatives visited his house the weekend to carry out the order of the IGP.
Seun Kuti was accompanied to the Lagos State Police Commissioner’s office on Monday by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika.
Confirming the development, the Force Public Relations Officer, David Hundeyin, in a statement on Twitter titled “Serious Assault On Police Officer: Seun Kuti Turns Self In” said, “Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, in the early hours of today turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, in company of his lawyer and family representative.
“He has been placed under arrest in line with the law. The Command appreciates the public for their concern and assures that the ongoing investigation will be detailed, transparent, professionally pursued; and justice will be manifestly served for all parties involved.
Replying to a question on why Kuti was handcuffed even after voluntarily turning himself in, Hundeyin said: “Because the law empowers us to place on cuffs any suspect who has shown a propensity for violence and propensity for evading justice.”
