President Joseph R. Biden Jr. was caught using a cheat sheet during a press conference on Wednesday, which revealed that he had advance knowledge of a question from a journalist. The Los Angeles Times reporter, Courtney Subramanian, had submitted the question to the White House before the press conference.
This is not the first time that Biden has been caught using cheat sheets, with previous instances including instructions on how to enter a room and a note informing him of something on his chin.
Republicans have used these incidents to speculate about Biden’s mental acuity, despite his physician reporting that he was in good health in February. The president’s reliance on cheat sheets has raised concerns about his ability to handle unexpected questions and challenges. Additionally, Biden has reportedly bristled at aides who attempt to disrupt his messaging, even if it puts him at odds with administration policy.
Furthermore, the press conference with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol discussed growing nuclear threats from North Korea, yet Biden seemed to prioritize answering pre-approved questions rather than addressing pressing global issues. This behavior raises questions about his ability to lead and handle unexpected challenges as president.
Biden’s announcement that he would seek the Democratic Party’s nomination for re-election in 2024 also begs the question of whether he is mentally and physically fit for another four years as president. Many say the use of cheat sheets by the president reflects poorly on his leadership skills and raises concerns about his mental and physical capabilities.
