Ogun State Bureau of Lands and Survey officials in Lagos to understudy operational processes

The Ag. Surveyor-General of Lagos State, Surv. Ayokunnu Adesina, has hosted officials of the Ogun State Bureau of Lands and Survey (BLS) and other top Government functionaries, who visited the Agency to understudy its organisational structure, operational processes in land information certificate issuance and other activities.

Receiving the team, Surv. Adesina emphasised that the office has built the capacity of its personnel for leadership positions to avoid gaps within the rank and file, hinting that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has also approved the mapping of the entire State to update similar exercises held in Y2009 and Y2021 respectively.

He assured that the visitors would gain knowledge about the unique services that have made Lagos the cynosure of all eyes in the sector, noting that excellent service delivery has been the watchword of personnel in the Office of the Surveyor-General of Lagos State.

“What we do is to make our processes known and our journey has been continuity in terms of leadership. Your team will be acquainted with the processes, procedures, and technology deployed by the OSSG in its Geographic Information Systems Unit. We will therefore expect you to go back and develop your own strategy taking a cue from the lessons learned”, Adesina said.

Informing the visiting team that the office had in the past received delegates from Sokoto, Gombe, Nasarawa, Delta, Ekiti and Kwara States to understudy the good work being done in Lagos, the Ag. Surveyor-General appreciated the visitors and promised that his team will continue to perform its responsibilities as professional surveyors because of the passion to achieve the State Government’s vision for a Greater Lagos.

In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Legal in the Bureau of Lands and Survey, Ogun State, Mr. Akande Emmanuel, said the visit was embarked upon to understudy and identify the technicalities that have established the Office of the State-Surveyor-General in Lagos as a constant and efficient ally in land and survey matters.

He added that the team was in Lagos for capacity development and knowledge acquisition on global best practices in effective Land Administration.
