Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded arrangement for Five Thousand Pilgrims participation in the next year’s 2023 Hajj Exercise.
This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary, Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai, while receiving an Award of Excellence from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in Abuja recently.
Makun Lapai said the Board was prepared for improved 2023 Hajj operation, stressing that the board have capable manpower including the technological know-how for ICT inclined Hajj processes.
Receiving the award, the Executive Secretary expressed gratitude and appreciation over the recognition of the Board’s commitment to improve Hajj operations, adding that the award will spur him and his team to double up in the quest of improving on the Hajj exercises.
He specifically applauded the staff of the board and the board members for being proactive in the discharge of their assignments.
The award was in recognition of the Outstanding Performance in the timely Remittance of Hajj Fare paid by the pilgrims to National Hajj Commission on record time before the closure of the portal by saudi authorities during the 2022 Hajj Exercise.
It will be recalled that the Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board under the leadership of the Executive Secretary, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai, has continued to attract commendations and awards of excellence from reputable organizations in recent times.
