New Ekiti Governor freezes all accounts of state government

Newly inaugurated Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has frozen all accounts of the state government with immediate effect.

The Shield Online reports that the directive to this effect was contained in a statement  signed by Yinka Oyebode,  Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and issued on Sunday, 16th October, 2022, few hours after Oyebanji assumed office.

Yinka Oyebode said “All accounting officers and financial institutions are urged  to comply with this directive.”
