The Lagos State Government reiterated its commitment to support the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to carry out its mandate successfully.
Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Kadiri Hamzat gave the advice on Wednesday while receiving a delegation of NAHCON management led by its Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman.
Dr. Hamzat however advised NAHCON to find ways to reduce the number of days Pilgrims spend in Saudi Arabia and address the issue of visa challenges as well as feeding arrangements.
The Deputy Governor then prayed for success in Hajj administration in the country.
Speaking earlier, the NAHCON Chairman said the Commission has gone far in preparation for the 2025 Hajj.
He noted that screening of airlines had been completed and Hajj fare will soon be announced while a meeting has been held with state officials to fine tune other arrangements.
The NAHCON boss further stated that, plans have been perfected to secure tent A at Mina for any VIP or Government officials.
