Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi was on Saturday 27th of July 2024, officially conferred with the prestigious title of Danburan Gwandu by the Emir of Gwandu, His Highness, Major General Muhammad Iliyasu Bashar (RTD) CFR, mni.
A statement by NAHCON said “the honor was in recognition of the Malam Arabi’s hard work and dedication in the conduct of a successful 2024 Hajj season.
“This, according to the Emirate was a huge contribution in the propagation of Islam. The Emirate and the Chairman’s paternity have a long-standing relation in the promotion of proper Islamic tenets and conduct.
“Thus, Malam Arabi was commended for maintaining the integrity his father was known for.”
