Alhaja Alirat Ayinke Matemilola (nee Bolaji), the mother of the Olowu of Owu, Abeokuta is dead.
She died in the early hours of Sunday, 27th October 2024 at the age of 81.
A statement announcing her death said: “Innaa lillahi Wa innaa ilayhi Raaji’uun
“We announce the passing away this morning of the mother of His Majesty, Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Saka Matemilola
“Burial will in shaa Allah take place this afternoon at 2:00pm, at Abari Cemetery, Lagos.
“Please let all of us make efforts to be there today.
“We beseech Allah to accept the return of our mother, grant her maghfirah, widen her grave and admit her into Jannah.”
