The Chief Judge of Ondo state, Justice Olusegun Odusola has sworn Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the governor of the state.
This followed the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Wednesday in a German hospital.
Aiyedatiwa was sworn in at the governor’s office in Akure at exactly 5 pm, Wednesday, 27th December, 2023.
Present at the ceremony include the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, members of the assembly, the secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu and the state chairman of the ruling party APC, Ade Adetimehin.
Others include members of the EXCO, political office holders and other party members.
