JAMB Policy Meeting Approves  Minimum Admissible Scores For 2024 Tertiary Admissions

The 2024 Policy Meeting On Admissions Into Tertiary Institutions, organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set 140  as minimum admissible scores (MAS)  for 2024 admissions into universities across the country.

The MAS into Polytechnics and  Colleges of Education is 100.

The Policy Meeting, attended by the Minister of Education, Minister of State for Education, heads of tertiary institutions in the country, and other stakeholders, was held in Abuja on Thursday.

The minimum admissible scores were proposed by some representatives of the institutions in attendance and ratified by the Policy Meeting.

Summing up the decisions taken,  Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede said institutions that have prescribed higher minimum admissible scores are not being compelled to lower their bars.

He explained that the MAS are simply marks below which no institution must admit candidates.
