A non-governmental group, Intellectuals Without Boarders has sent words of commendation to President Muhammed Buhari and other stallholders like Senator Sabi Aliyu and Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba who worked tirelessly for the realization of the new Federal University of Education Kontagora, Niger State.
The group in a statement signed by Fatai Ibrahim, National President and Mary Raski, Publicity Secretary said “Judgment of history and posterity will record you in positive light in this regard, which historians considers as imperishable. For working assiduously towards the birth of new Federal University of Education Kontagora, which has just been assented to by our able and dynamic President Muhammed Buhari.
“Like in the illuminating words of legendary Malcolm X, who once adumbrated “ Education is our Passport for the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”. This singular step of having a new Federal University of Education at Kontagora in Niger State, is a further manifestation of the present administration of President Muhammed Buhari (GCFR). Commitment towards providing man power for the growth and development of our great country and generations yet on born, which is inline with the popular aphorism of the foremost Former South African President Dr.Nelson Rohilala Mandela (of blessed memory) when he posits at the University of Witwatersrand in South African 2003, where he asserts “Education is the greatest weapon we can use to change the world”.
“Interestingly, we have no doubt in our mind, under the present visionary and dynamic leadership of the focused Prof. Faruk Abdulrashid Haruna when the University fully take off, as a quintessential administrator who has knack for excellence, considering his immense wealth of experience as a thoroughbred administrator, couple with his antecedents and intellectual acuity, he would lay a solid foundation for other successor’s to consolidate on, geared towards achieving a unique Citadel of learning at Kontagora Niger State, in line with the popular mantra “Education for all is the responsibility of all”.”
“We all the stakeholders, host community and all those involved in our Educational planning to give necessary support to the Management of the new University of Education Kontagora, in other to achieve sound academic excellence, geared towards nation building.
“Finally, we pray the new Federal University of Education Kontagora Niger State move from strength to strength and glory to glory in it’s desire of working for the common good of all Nigerian and a pace-setter for others to follow.”
