The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has redeployed two Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC) and eight directors.
The redeployment was announced on Tuesday in a statement signed by Festus Okoye Esq. National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee.
The two redeployed RECs are: Dr Cyril Omorogbe, who was moved from Cross River State to Akwa Ibom State and Dr Alalibo Johnson Sinikiem, from Edo State to Cross River State.

Stating that the redeployments/postings take immediate effect and that the handing and taking over should be concluded on/or before Friday 26th August 2022, Okoye said “The public may recall that on 24th March 2022, the Commission redeployed 385 staff nationwide.
” On that occasion, the Commission announced that this will be a routine exercise which will continue from time to time.”
