Six students of the Department of Accounting, Crescent University, Abeokuta, have been inducted as Associate Members of the Accounting Technicians Scheme of West Africa (ATSWA), having passed their final examinations in the last diet.
This feat marked a milestone in their journey towards becoming chartered accountants as the students were decorated at the 64th ATSWA Induction Ceremony on Thursday in Lagos.
In a correspondence notifying the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila and copying the Registrar, Barr. Zakariyya Ajibola, the Programme Director, Musbaudeen Adebayo, announced the students’ successful induction into the professional body.
The inductees are Abdulazeez Zaidat Omolabake (400 Level), Aderogba Habidat Ibiyemi (400 Level), Adegbile Sekinat Adeola (400 Level), Dauda Khadijat Opeyemi (400 Level), Adegoroye Aminat Adetomiwa (300 Level), and Hassan Nimatullah Opeyemi (200 Level).
Congratulating the inductees on behalf of the Proprietor, Prince Mahruf Adesegun Ajibola (SAN), the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, commended their hard work, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence. He encouraged them to remain focused as they progress towards becoming fully qualified chartered accountants and wished them success in the forthcoming November ATSWA examinations.
The Vice-Chancellor also commended the Head of the Department of Accounting, Prof. Tunji Siyanbola, and members of the department for their commitment to producing outstanding graduates and sustaining the university’s reputation for excellence.
