Hon Adelegbe lauds Tinubu’s inclusion in TIME Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people

The lawmaker representing  Ose/ Owo Federal Constituency, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe has saluted the inclusion of Tinubu on Time magazine’s list of 100 world most influential people for 2023.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Nigeria’s president-elect, was named in Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people for 2023.

Time Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world accords recognition to people “for changing the world, regardless of the consequences of their actions”.

The President Elect Tinubu, the winner of Nigeria’s presidential election, was named alongside Joe Biden, president of the US; King of United Kingdom, King Charles III; Anthony Albanese, prime minister of Australia and a few others in the “leader” category

In a message personally signed by Adelegbe, he described the inclusion of Tinubu as awesome and inspiring.

“Time magazine while selecting the newly elected president as one of its 100 most influential people of 2023, said winning the election in Africa’s most populous country was an uneasy feat to attain”

“Own own Jagaban had one of the most difficult Presidential primaries in the history of party politics in Nigeria, came out of it, and emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress” he said.

He added he eventually defeated three other candidates as he was declared winner of the 2023 presidential election which was held on February 25th by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC].

Adelegbe, a strong contender for Deputy Speaker in the 10th National Assembly in the House of Representatives, said he has absolute confidence that Tinubu would utilize his wealth of experience to advance the cause of national development.

“On behalf of the good people of my Federal Constituency, i heartily felicitate with the President Elect. He is a man imbued with vision. He would harness available human resources in the  country to further the collective development of our nation “, he added.
