Holy Trinity Grammar School Ibadan, Old Students Association has announced a three-day programme to mark the 60th anniversary of the institution, with activities scheduled for Friday, September 25, to Sunday, September 27, 2026.
The anniversary celebration, which will bring together old students, members of staff, current students, friends and other members of the school community, is designed to celebrate the institution’s six decades of educational service while renewing commitment to its continued growth and development.
The programme will commence on Friday, September 25, with a Jumat service, followed by an interaction with staff and students at the school and a novelty football match.
The activities will continue on Saturday, September 26, with an anniversary lecture to be delivered by Hon. Justice Matthias Olusegun Agboola.
The Old Students Association will also hold its Annual General Meeting at Bashmol Events Centre, while a reception for guests at the school premises will bring the day’s activities to a close.
The three-day celebration will culminate on Sunday, September 27, with a thanksgiving service at CAC Agbala Itura, near the school.
National President of the Old Students Association, Aare Adesina Adegoke, said in a press statement that
the 60th anniversary provides an opportunity to honour the pioneers and generations of individuals who had contributed to the growth and legacy of the institution.
“Sixty years is an occasion to honour those who built this school, celebrate the generations it has shaped, and strengthen our support for the students who will carry its legacy forward,” he said.
The Association called on old students, members of the school community, friends and well-wishers to join in the anniversary celebration and contribute to efforts aimed at sustaining the institution’s legacy for future generations.
