Gov Buni presents car gift to Ahmad Muhammad Gambo, overall winner of 26th Qur’an competition

Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni has  said that learning and understanding of Qur’an is very important for all Muslims.

He further explained that Quran is a Holy Book that touches every aspect of human endeavour, therefore memorising it and making use of its teachings will serve as a great benefit for Muslims both in this World and hereafter.

Governor Mai Mala Buni explained that in keeping With the importance attached to the continuation of  recitation of the holy Qur’an  by Muslims ummah, there is need to embrace the habit of reciting the holy Book and observe rules of tajweed as such practice has enormous rewards and benefits.

The Governor made this observation  at the closing ceremony of 26th States Qur’anic recitation competition organized by the Jama”atul izalatul bidia’wa ikamatussunnah Headquarter Jos which took place today Saturday 24 Dec 2022 at Yobe Mosque and Islamic center Damaturu.

The Governor was represented by the State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, Wazirin Fune.

The Qur’anic competition was conducted for different  categories with the participants from various states.

At the end of the competition, the national coordinator Al- Hafis Aminu Yusuf Nuhu  declared Ahmad Muhammad Gambo from Bauchi State  as the overall winner (GORZON SHEKARA)

The winner was presented with a new Honda Accord car by the state Governor.

Gubana congratulated  the winner   and urged him to strive harder in propagating of  Islam and importance of memorizing qur’an in the society

Earlier in his welcome address the  National chairman Jama’atul Izalatul bidia’wa ikamatussunnah Headquarter Jos, Al- Sheik  Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir  Expressed gratitude to the Yobe State Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni for according high regard to the activities and program of the competition and the organization.

He urged the participants to pray to God  to guide the leaders of the country     in making decisions that would affect the lives of many Nigerians positively.

He also prayed for the country to overcome some of its challenges, especially in the areas of insecurity ,curruption and Economy.

The overall winner was turbaned by the Emir of Fika  Alh Dr. Muhammad Abali Muhammad Ibn idrissa and Chairman Yobe state Council of traditional rulers  and conferred with the title of GORZON SHEKARA.

The ceremony was attended by the renowned Islamic schoolers from within and outside Nigeria.
