Immediate Past Chairperson, Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ),Lagos Chapter, Mrs. S. T. Lawal, has sent a petition to Police over an threat to life and property.
In the petition addressed to DCP Bode Ojajuni O/C. SCID,
Eleweran, Ogun State, through the office of the PPRO, Ogun State, with the title COMPLAINTS OF THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY, she said “I am writing to report an event of threat to life on me and over our property located at Iloye area of Sango Otta, Ogun State, today 14th of March, 2025 at exactly 12.30pm. I will like to file a complaint regarding the following because the threat to life and property has been going on for close to three months now.”
She added that “I lost my husband about six months ago and he has bought the said land on which the property is located about 20years ago with necessary documents.
“Immediately they learnt about my husband’s demise, some people started claiming ownership to the said property.
Surprisingly, this scheming is coming from and led by someone who has been a worker on the said property and was always on my husband’s neck to sell half of the plot which my husband said outright NO.
Immediately he heard about my husband’s death, we have all manners of funny land receipts emanating left, right and centre.
“And today at exactly 12.30pm, two workers on the site including my elderly uncle were arrested and taken to Sango Police Station.
“I am hereby requesting that appropriate action be taken to address this threat to my life and property.”
