The family of the late Oba of Iwaraland, Osun State, Oba Olayowola Adereti has said one Sobanke Idris Sunday Adereti recently sentenced in Texas, United States for fraud is not known to it.
Reacting to a story published by The Shield Online titled Adereti, Osun monarch’s son jailed in the U.S., another Nigerian extradited from the UK on April 17,2022, a spokesperson for the family Adereti Adenike in two separate correspondence to The Shield Online said, ” With reference to your publication on the guilty fraudster Sobanke Idris Sunday Adereti.
“On behalf of the subject, we can confirm the fraudster is not a son to our father neither is he a relative.
Kindly do a disclaimer to clear our dad’s name and remove his picture from the story as it is a misinformation.
