Top government officials, prominent indigenes of Egbaland and a host of others thronged the Ake Palace, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Saturday 5th April to mark the 2025 Lisabi Celebration.
Such dignitaries include Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, his deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
Also in attendance at the event held at the Pavilion of the Palace were former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and two former governors of the State, Chief Olusegun Osoba and Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
The Senator representing Ogun Central, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu and Nigerian immediate past High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola were also not left at the epoc making occassion which had the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo as the Chief Host.
Lisabi Festival is celebrated annually in fond memory of the exploits of Lisabi Agbongbo-Akala, a founding father of Egbaland.
