City Boy Movement commends FG, security forces on rescue of Oyo abducted children, teachers

The City Boy Movement (CBM) says it warmly welcomes the successful rescue of the children and teachers abducted by terrorists in Oyo State.

National Secretary, Tosin Odufuwa said in a statement on Friday night that “We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and safety of Nigerians and salute the gallant men and women of our Armed Forces and other security agencies whose courage, professionalism, and sacrifice made this operation possible.

“The safe recovery of the victims without the payment of ransom or any concession to terrorists sends a clear message that the Nigerian state remains resolute in confronting criminality and safeguarding its citizens.

“This successful operation reflects the growing coordination, intelligence-led approach, and operational capacity of our security agencies under the Renewed Hope administration. It should reassure Nigerians that the government remains focused on restoring peace, strengthening national security, and ensuring that no community is abandoned to the forces of terror.

“While we celebrate this heartening outcome, we remember the sacrifices of our security personnel who continue to risk their lives daily in defence of our nation. Their patriotism and dedication deserve the gratitude and support of every Nigerian.

“The City Boy Movement stands firmly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his determination to rid our country of terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and all forms of violent crime. We urge Nigerians to continue supporting our security agencies through vigilance, cooperation, and the timely provision of credible information.

“Together, we will build a safer, stronger, and more secure Nigeria for every citizen.”
