The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to provide a decisive leadership for the nation in order to combat the prevailing challenges.

CAN stated this in a statement released in Abuja on Monday, shortly after Tinubu’s inauguration as president.

In the statement signed by Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of CAN and titled “Tinubu’s Inauguration: A New Chapter for Nigeria”, the association said Nigeria is facing a number of challenges that require strong and decisive leadership.

It said “From security concerns to economic struggles, it is clear that there is much work to be done in order to ensure that Nigeria can reach its full potential.”

While urging Tinubu to prioritize these issues and to work to find lasting solutions that will improve the livelihoods of the people of Nigeria, CAN said Tinubu needs to engage the active participation of all Nigerians regardless of their political, ethnic and religious leanings.

“Nigeria can overcome all obstacles to emerge stronger than ever,” CAN argued.
