Trouble, in the Republic of Cameroon, Nigeria’s eastern neighbour, is looming. There, the 92-year old geriatric, is claiming to have won his 8th term in office as President, a job he has done since 1982 when 70 percent of the population were not yet born.
The people have defied the brutal crackdown by security agencies, to protest against this daylight robbery. They are saying the opposition candidate actually won the election.
Nigeria should take keen interest in Cameroon and persuade the pathetic old man to step down.
We should not wait until that country becomes another Liberia on our hands.
