The Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi (SAN) is dead. He died on Sunday night.
Late Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi became a Professor at the age of 40 years and was appointed as Vice Chancellor at 49 years. He was a former Director of Unilorin School of Preliminary Studies and also the son of former President of The court of Appeal and pioneer Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, Justice Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi.
Confirming the death, Ridwan Musa, Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin branch said in a message that Janazah (funeral) prayer will be performed on his remains on Monday after the Salatul-‘Asr (4pm Muslim prayer) at his residence in Ilorin, Kwara State.
He prayed Allah to overlook his shortcomings and grant him AL-Jannah.
