Nigeria’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency, Lt Gen Ambassador Abdulrahman Dambazau, has paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Ambassador Martin Mpana of the Republic of Cameroon, the Dean of African Ambassadors and Doyen of Ambassadors in China.
Ambassador Mpana, who has served in China since 2008 and is the longest-serving Ambassador in the country, shared valuable insights drawn from his extensive experience and deep understanding of the Chinese diplomatic environment. Ambassador Dambazau expressed appreciation for the Dean’s guidance and noted that he immensely benefited from his briefs, experience, and wealth of knowledge.
The engagement focused on the principles of African unity and integration and the importance of leveraging these ideals in Africa’s relations with China through the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Discussions also centred on strengthening political exchanges, expanding economic cooperation, promoting cultural interactions, and enhancing peace and security cooperation between Africa and China.
