The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA, has expressed confidence in the party’s readiness for the 2027 general elections following the inauguration of the Ogun State APC Campaign Council.
The council was inaugurated on Thursday by Governor Dapo Abiodun at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, in the presence of party leaders, chieftains, campaign council members and supporters from across the state.
Adeola commended Governor Abiodun for his leadership and commitment to the unity and continued success of the APC in Ogun State.
He also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; former Ogun State Governor and APC National Leader, Chief Olusegun Osoba, CON; the APC State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi; former governors and other party stakeholders for their roles in ensuring largely rancour-free primaries and his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate.
The senator assured that his campaign would remain focused on issues, programmes, projects and practical solutions capable of improving the lives of residents while consolidating the achievements of the Abiodun administration.
“Our campaign will not be distracted by frivolities or unnecessary attacks. When others choose to go low, we will continue to focus on what matters most—the development of Ogun State and the welfare of our people,” Adeola said.
He urged party members and supporters to work collectively for the victory of all APC candidates, including President Tinubu and candidates for the governorship, National Assembly and Ogun State House of Assembly elections.
Adeola also echoed Osoba’s call for unity, discipline and the avoidance of internal conflicts, stressing that every committee and structure within the campaign council must work harmoniously to take the APC’s message to all parts of the state.
He thanked party leaders, campaign council members, faithful and supporters who attended the inauguration, urging them to approach the assignment with commitment, teamwork and a shared determination to secure a comprehensive APC victory in 2027.
