The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the forthcoming Hajj exercise to submit their valid international passports on or before 25 August 2026.
The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, issued the directive as part of measures to ensure the timely registration and documentation of all intending pilgrims ahead of the commencement of the Hajj process.
Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle warned that any registered intending pilgrim who fails to submit his or her international passport on or before the stipulated deadline may not be allocated a Hajj seat.
According to the Director-General, the deadline has become necessary due to the need to complete the enrolment and documentation of all intending pilgrims within the required timeframe, particularly in view of the anticipated closure of the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server towards the end of August.
He therefore urged all intending pilgrims in Kano State who have yet to submit their international passports to do so without further delay and ensure that the documents are submitted to the appropriate authorities on or before 25 August 2026.
The Director-General stressed that the Board would not be responsible for any consequences arising from failure to comply with the stipulated deadline.
All registered intending pilgrims are therefore advised to treat this directive with utmost urgency and ensure full compliance within the stipulated period.
