2024 Hajj: Niger Governor appoints Emir of Kagara Amirul Hajj

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved the appointment of the Emir of Kagara, Malam Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II as the  State Amirul Hajj for the 2024 Hajj exercise.

A statement issued by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman disclosed that the appointment of the first class traditional ruler is based on his track records of hard work, commitment, patriotism and trustworthiness.

It is expected that the Emir of Kagara will bring his knowledge and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of this assignment, the statement stressed.

The statement implored the Amirul Hajj to justify the confidence repose in him by the State Government and help make the 2024 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia a successful and hitch-free operation.

Governor Umaru Bago congratulated the 2024 Amirul Hajj and wishes him success and God’s guidance in the performance of the arduous task, the statement added.
