Ahead of the 2023 election, leaders and members of Sawmiller and Timber Contractors Association of Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun state have endorsed the aspiration of Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye (a.k.a CATO) for the House of Representatives.
Oladunjoye, a former chairman of the local government, is aspiring to represent Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency at the green chamber.

Rising from an emergency meeting of the association held at Ijebu-Ife, the leaders and members of the association said the meeting was called to welcome “an August visitor in the person of Comrade(Ambassador) Tune Oladunjoye.”
After his introductory remarks, the secretary of the association, Evang. Fassy Ariyo told the meeting of Oladunjoye’s aspiration and solicited the support of all members of the association.
He went down memory lane to recall how Oladunjoye impacted on the association when he was the local government chairman between 2007 and 2009.
Ariyo recalled how Oladunjoye helped them to facilitate the registration of the association with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and also saw to the inauguration of the Board of Trustees of the association in 2009.Also, to his credit was the initiative to build a sawmill village at ljebu- Itele.
Many individuals testified of how Oladunjoye had rendered one assistance or the other. The chairman of the association, Mr. Suraju Alausa buttressed all that had been said, adding that one good turn deserved another. Evangelist Fassy Ariyo, thereafter announced the endorsement on behalf of the association and this was followed by big applause as a mark of confirmation.
An elated Oladunjoye expressed his gratitude to the leaders and members of the association for their testimonials.
“My heart is full of gratitude to all of you for this rare privilege and honour. I do not take it for granted. If anything, all that you have said will spur me to go and do more for our people, community and state.
“That is why I want a bigger and better pedestal to touch the lives of our people the more. I crave your prayers, support and votes to be able to achieve this. So, please, let us join hands together to make it a success,” he said.
