Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Kashim Shettima was on Wednesday joined by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos) and Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano) as well as other APC topnotchers in having a consultation session with the leadership of various Hausa traders in Alaba Rago, a predominantly Hausa-Fulani community in Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State.

The consultation was said to be part of the APC  political discussions with non-indigene groups residing in Lagos state.

Top on the agenda of “the meeting was to officially introduce the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, and to also thank them for supporting the efforts of our administration as we scale up infrastructure and amenities in the LCDA,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said.

“I thanked them for maintaining peace while co-existing with other residents of the state.

“I intimated them that we would be completing the Lagos-Badagry highway soon, as the stretch towards Okokomaiko is the final stage, which will be completed by the end of the year.

“I also informed them that the General Hospital we are currently building in Iba will be completed in the not too distant future, then we will move inside Ojo and take up the Kemberi-Afromedia Road.

“I am indeed thankful to the leadership and members of the Alaba-Rago community for their warm welcome,” he added.
